Cigar lovers often debate the age-old question of how long to age cigars. Cigars are very similar to other luxuries such as wine, where they can taste better with age, up until a certain point. 

The individual leaves selected determine this based on their age, quality and type. They are arranged in a particular way to create the cigar shape, using three main components of the cigar – a wrapper, binder and filler.

To the untrained eye, it's often difficult to tell the difference between cigar plume and mold. Nobody wants to smoke mold! Therefore, it's vital to make sure your cigar is safe and mold-free before smoking.
